The day was filled with thrilling Semi and Pickup Truck Races, intense Truck Pulling contests, and the dazzling Show and Shine competition, all brought to life by your energy. We also want to thank you for your generous support of the Alberta Kidney Foundation through our 50/50 draw.

Alberta Diesel Day 2026 Show ’n’ Shine Winners
Thank you to everyone who entered the Alberta Diesel Day 2026 Show ’n’ Shine and to everyone who came out to walk through the trucks, vote for People’s Choice, and support the competitors.
Despite the rain, the Show ’n’ Shine brought out an incredible lineup of big rigs, service trucks, pickups, and custom builds. The detail, pride, and work that went into these trucks were a major part of the weekend, and we appreciate every competitor who brought their vehicle out to RAD Torque Raceway.

Rules
Alberta Diesel Days Show & Shine will focus on three classes of vehicles: Big Rigs, Service & Welding Rigs and Diesel Pickups. The goal of the Show & Shine will be to allow owners to showcase their diesel trucks and to have a panel of judges assess each truck based on the criteria set out for each class, below.
Our judges will use a scorecard system to assign points based on their impression of the creativity, effort, and maintenance put into the work and the level of quality achieved. Judges will consider the age, mileage and general maintenance of each unit. Each entrant will be provided a list of the items that will be judged to allow them to prepare as best as possible. Our judges will come from a few different industries and will score each unit along with the other judges. The judges decisions are final.
General (10) | Overall appearance, presentation (signage & display) and cleanliness of area. |
Body/Paint (10) | Use of color, paint condition, no: peeling, water spots, orange peel, rock chips, windshield condition. |
Alum. SSteel & Chrome (10) | Clean, quality of shine, polished, buffed all around, no sanding marks, buff trails or haziness, tanks, boxes, steps, inside wheels, air cleaners, trim, mirrors |
Undercarriage and Frame (10) Tires (10) | Clean, no grease, paint quality, inside frame rails, axles, u-joints, brake drums, slack adjusters, grease fittings, batteries. Staged, cleaned, matched, no rocks in treads, dressed, lettered |
Engine & Engine Bay (10) | Engine clean, no oil or grease, wiring layout, paint, radiator, inside of hood, piping, tanks. |
Interior (10) Sound (10) Lighting (10) | Clean, flooring, seats, dash, lighting, sleeper, passenger areas, customization, fit & finish. Sound quality, power, bass, treble, acoustics, clarity, installation, fit & finish. Light location and effect, inventiveness, use of color, use of motion, off-road lighting, work area lighting, overall appearance |
Total /90
Entrants will be no charged fee to enter the show & shine, which will returned in total as prize money for the top 3 winners in each of the three categories. The fee will also cover the show entry fee for one person.

Racer & Crew FAQ
The entry for the Show ‘n’ Shine is $65. The money from the Show ‘n Shine entries will go directly into the winner’s pot.
The ticket for the Show and Shine does include your entry.
