Alberta Diesel Day remains open, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for another day of diesel community, vendors, entertainment, and activities.
Unfortunately, due to the significant rainfall and resulting unsafe track conditions, all drag racing and oval racing have been cancelled.
We know this is incredibly disappointing. Many of our competitors and spectators travelled long distances to race and attend, and we share in that disappointment. Throughout the weekend, our team worked closely with RAD Torque Raceway and waited as long as reasonably possible in hopes that conditions would improve. Unfortunately, the continued rain left the track unsafe for racing.
While racing is no longer possible, there’s still plenty happening throughout the day, including:
- Burnout Competition
- Show & Shine Awards
- Vendor Marketplace
- Food Trucks
- Meet & Greets with our special guests
- Family-friendly activities
We encourage everyone who is at the event to continue supporting our vendors, sponsors, exhibitors, competitors, and special guests who have helped make Alberta Diesel Day possible.
The safety of our competitors, officials, staff, volunteers, and spectators will always remain our top priority, and while this wasn’t the weekend any of us hoped for, we’re committed to making the most of the event despite the weather.
